Project Coordinator (NCCE)

Responsibilities

Jane is the Project Coordinator for the National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE)'s Regional Development Partnership based at the Department of Computer Science, University of York. She liaises with a team of computer science professionals who lead the NCCE's bespoke training courses for trainee teachers ensuring that Computer Science as a subject begins with a solid grounding from primary education through to GCSE and beyond. She schedules and runs these courses providing administrative and pastoral support for Facilitators and PGCE students.

Career

Jane has an eclectic background in administration and sales ranging from running the Outline Applications for The Leverhulme Trust’s Research Project Grants, co-ordinating professional dancewear (sparkly dresses) for international Ballroom champions, being responsible for the Section House for the City of London Police and more recently taking care of the Digital Creativity Labs' team at the University of York for the last 5 years so she isn’t phased with unusual requests or sorting out a myriad of issues.
