Did Twitter save Bletchley Park?

Part of the Computer Science Athena SWAN initiative, to support women in science

Wednesday 7 March 2012

We were very pleased to host Dr Sue Black, of University College London, Simon Greenish, formerly CEO of Blethley Park Trust, and Iain Standen, current CEO of Bletchley Park Trust.

The talk centred on how Twitter and other campaigns helped to save Bletchley Park. All speakers gave a fascinating insight into the Park itself, some of the history behind the code-breaking activities carried out there in World War Two, and how the campaign to save it was developed, along with future plans for the site.
