A Framework for Integrating the Real-Time Specification for Java and Java's Remote Method Invocation

This paper reports on an investigation to integrate and extend the existing Real-Time Specification for Java and Java's RMI facility to provide the basis of a Distributed Real-Time Specification for Java. The work was performed in the context of JSR-50 Expert Group in Sun's Java Community Process.
