Adobe Reader Installation
To use this CD, you will need a PDF viewer such as Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat installed.
This CD contains recent English language versions of Adobe Reader for Windows, Macintosh, and Linux platforms. Visit the Reader homepage for more information. You may need administrative privileges to complete the installation.
- Click here to install Adobe Reader 7.0 for Windows XP / 2000.
- Note: this link lets you start a download manager; you must have an Internet connection active to complete the installation. You need to save the download manager to your hard disk and run it from the location in which you saved it.
- For Windows 2000, Service Pack 2 or later is required.
- Click here to install Adobe Reader 7.0 for Mac OS 10.2.8 or higher.
- Click here to install Adobe Reader 7.0.1 for Linux from a ".rpm" file
- This is suitable for Redhat Linux systems, or other distributions (e.g. Mandrake) that use the ".rpm" format for installing software.
- In most cases, if you click on the link your browser will launch an appropriate program for installing the software. If this does not happen, you will need to launch a file browser or a command shell, and install the software manually.
- Click here to install Adobe Reader 7.0.1 for Linux from a ".tar.gz" file
- This is suitable for most Linux systems running kernel versions 2.4 or 2.6.
- To install the software, extract the contents of this archive to a temporary location and execute the "Install" script.
- Click here to install Adobe Reader 6.0.1 for Windows XP / ME / 2000 / NT / 98SE.
- For Windows NT 4.0, Service Pack 6 is required.
- For Windows 2000, Service Pack 2 or later is required.

Notes:
- If installing version 6.0.1:
- Adobe Systems Incorporated encourages you to update to version 6.0.2. Once you have successfully installed Adobe Reader 6.0.1, you may install the new 6.0.2 update. From within Adobe Reader 6.0.1, go to the Help menu, choose Updates, and follow the instructions.
- You do not need to install Reader if you already have Adobe Acrobat installed.
- If you are having trouble then check the systems requirements for each version.
- If supported by your browser, it is strongly recommended that you configure viewing PDF files within the browser using the Reader plugin, rather than launching a separate Reader window. Refer to your browser help for details on plugin configuration.
