Hi,

when using several statechart diagrams together with other kinds of
diagrams (for example a class diagram and a statechart diagram for each
of the classes), one would like to say which statechart diagram belongs
to which class etc.

For this, the UML has the concept of a _context_ of a statechart diagram.

Unfortunately, according to 3.74.2 in the UML 1.5 standard, "The
association between a state machine and its context does not have a
special notation.".

This leaves the problem of how to specify the context of a statechart
diagram in a given UML specification - just write out the context (i.e.
the name of the class) under the statechart diagram ? Is there any
better way of doing this ?

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Thanks a lot,

Jan
