Open position Scientific Assistant (PhD Position) The international research project KeY on "Integrated deductive software design" is devoted to the design and realisation of an integrated method for formal modeling and deductive verification of object-oriented programs. It uses the CASE tool "Java Control Center" from TogetherSoft to develop Java programs from UML models. To evaluate our approach a case study with JavaCard will we conducted. It is funded on the German side by DFG (roughly the German analogue of the NSF) and by Vinnova and VR on the Swedish side. We seek applications for three open positions as Scientific Assistants. These positions run for three years and offer the possibility to obtain a German Doctoral degree. Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants who - have completed an above average Diplom, Master's Degree or equivalent, - have experience in specification, preferably in object oriented specification, - have a thorough understanding of the problems in logic deduction and software verification, - enjoy teamwork - are committed to success oriented work Project leaders are Prof.Dr.Peter H. Schmitt, Prof.Reiner Hähnle and Dr.Bernhard Beckert. The positions are immediately available. Payment will be according to BATIIa on the German scale for federal employees. BATIIa ammounts to an annual salary of 28 000.- to 33 000.- Euro before tax depending on age and family status. This amounts to 17 000.- to 27 000.- Euro after tax and various other deductions.
