Hi, Thanks Eden for the LePUS description of Abstract Factory. I do appreciate your help. Currently there're some tools supporting UML & OCL description of Design Patterns, for example, Quarry on http://www.qoses.com/products/Quarry.html . It's a nice add-in for Rational Rose 2000e, and it support creation of new patterns and application of patterns. What it utilizes to describe a pattern are: UML model & OCL. There're 3 pattern examples in it by default, but all of them have fixed number of entities. What I'm interested in is how to add Abstract Factory pattern to this tool. I feel it's hard to add complex patterns (in which cardinalities of certain roles are flexible, like the number of Concrete factories, Abstract products in Abstract Factory pattern) to Quarry. Would you pattern gurus please check this tool and tell me your feelings and ideas? If you can add Abstract factory pattern to Quarry, please send me your .mdl file. My mail address: ysx@process.buaa.edu.cn thanks a lot for your help! regards, yours, Yang Shunxiang
