Trying, for the first time, to write down a complete UML example statically correct I have found that UML 1.3 does not clarify some points, that are relevant for such example. These are not semantically relevant subtle questions, but just quite concrete problems. Can someone in this list help me ? The questions are: DT1) Is it possible to write down user defined datatypes, which are neither predefined nor enumeration ? DT2) If the answer to the previous question is yes, what is the concrete notation for a user defined datatype ? CC)Is it possible to write a constraint attached to a whole class diagram, which cannot sensible linked to a specific class, for example a constraint requiring that cardinality of AllInstances(C1)is greater than zero and lower than the sum of the cardinalities of the instancies of classes C and C' (in the case that there are no associations from C1 and C or C')? PP) Is it possible to attach several pre-post conditions to the same operation, each one referring to a different case (for example, one when for the case the parameter is greater or equal 0 and the other when the parameter is lower that 0) ? Thanks in advance for your cooperation Best regards Gianna Reggio
