Dr Paul Cairns MA(Oxon) DPhil(Oxon) FHEA
Reader

Interests

My interests are in Human Computer Interaction generally but I have a particular interest in the experience of playing digital games. I have looked extensively at what it means to be immersed in games and I am also investigating the wider community experience of games. Because of the multidisciplinary nature of HCI, I get very excited about research methods, experimental and statistical methods particularly but also qualitative methods like grounded theory and discourse analysis.
