Zoe Porter
Research Associate


Zoë Porter is a Research Associate in the Assuring Autonomy International Programme where her research concerns the ethics, regulation, and governance of autonomous systems. She is also a doctoral candidate in the Department of Philosophy, researching the location of moral responsibility for unforeseen harms caused by autonomous systems. This has led to journal papers published in Artificial Intelligence and The Bulletin of the World Health Organization.


Zoë was previously Chief Speechwriter at the Equality and Human Rights Commission, and she has also worked at the Commission for Racial Equality, and for members of the UK and European Parliaments. She holds an MA in Philosophy from the University of London and a BA from the University of Oxford.
