Music, having been a DJ from the age of 14, still getting out on the road from time to time (Not during the pandemic)

Responsibilities

Main Computer Science workshops,
Design of systems for both research and teaching here in the CS department, spanning both hardware and software.
As well as looking after the fabric and facilities of the Computer Science labs and buildings.
Leading a fantastic team of technical staff here in the Workshops.

Qualifications

Apprentice at 41 Command Workshops REME 1976 to 1980 in telecommunications
ONC/HNC in Electrical and Electronic Engineering at York Collage of Arts and Technology

Career

Joined as a Junior Technician here in CS in 1981 rising via Chief Technician in 1986 to my current role of Technical Manager 2018
