I am responsible for establishing and delivering the £12M Assuring Autonomy International Programme, focussed on the assurance and safety challenges of robotics and autonomous systems.
We work with technology developers, researchers, regulators, and the public to understand the risks and benefits of adopting these technologies, in order to make the development and adoption of safe autonomous systems a reality.
The Programme is supported by the Lloyd's Register Foundation and the University of York.
I have held a number of technical and management roles in the past, including laboratory research, project management, business development, and institute management. I hold a BEng (Hons) in Medical Materials Science & Engineering, and a PhD in Tissue Engineering.
