Interests

I am Senior Lecturer in Machine Learning Safety in the Department of Computer Science at the University of York working within the Institute for Safe Autonomy. I am also the training lead for the SAINTS CDT and a member of the Centre for Assuring Autonomy (CfAA)

I have a wide range of research interests but I am particularly interested in how we might assure the safety of autonomous systems in the absence of human oversight. The means that I am interested in

- Systems Safety
- Uncertainty Quantification in AI
- Decision Making Under Uncertainty
- Verification of AI
