"Quantum computers threaten to end digital security. Here’s what’s being done about it."

For years, a looming threat in the field of cybersecurity has been the creation of quantum computers. One day these machines will render almost all digital communication insecure by using principles of quantum physics to represent information to crack the most widely used encryption systems.

Against this background, Delaram Kahrobaei, Director of York Interdisciplinary Centre for Cyber Security, discusses families of post-quantum algorithms and their uses in public key encryption.
