Notes on the Maths pages for blind readers

In some senses these pages illustrate the problem being addressed by the Maths Project in that the limitations of HTML mean that many of the mathematical examples cannot be displayed in an accessible form and have to be imported as pictures. In such cases we have provided alternatives in the form of text describing how the equation might be read. For instance, Pythagoras' Theorem might be displayed as C squared equals A squared plus B squared

That format is most general, but clearly not very good - which is why there is a need for the Maths Project!
