Audio and video content that plays automatically upon a webpage loading can be very distracting for some users. This is particularly the case for screen reader users who may not be able to hear their screen reader over the audio and video content. It can also cause problems for users who have multiple browsers tabs open as the they may struggle to find which one is playing the audio and video content. There is no problem with playing sounds automatically providing they are no longer than 3 seconds long.
Load the webpage that includes sounds that play automatically and check that they stop in 3 seconds or less.
