Is a sign language interpreter included in the audio and video content where needed? (AAV24)

Why Is This Important?

Sign language is a system of communication using visual gestures and signs. For people who are deaf or hard of hearing, sign language may be their primary and preferred method of communication. Therefore, including a sign language interpreter in video content will allow people who cannot hear to access the content.

How To Fix The Problem

Sign language interpretation is typically embedded in the video content when the content is first produced. Check that the sign language interpreter can be clearly seen. If not, check that the video content can be expanded to fill the screen.
