WebAIR

(if yes) Are the captions embedded in the audio or video content? (AAV22)

Why Is This Important?

"Open captions" are always visible. By embedding the captions in the audio and video content, people who are deaf or hard of hearing do not have to use special hardware or software to view them. They can play the audio and video content and the captions will appear as text in the video track.

How To Fix The Problem

Open captions that are embedded in the audio and video content are created when the content is first produced. Check that the captions are visible and that they document all dialogue, commentary and important sounds.
