> Floats.hs:7: parse error on input `import' I have still not managed to install ghc-4.06 successfully, so I can't yet give a definite answer why this doesn't work. However, my first guess is that GHC perhaps needs an option like -fglasgow-exts to recognise the primitive FFI declarations. Try adding that to the appropriate HMAKEFLAGS definition in src/compiler98/Makefile.
