Announcement of nhc98 pre-release 8. This new pre-release is primarily a bug-fix release, incorporating fixes for installation bugs noted recently on this list. It is available from the usual place: http:/www.cs.york.ac.uk/fp/nhc98/ nhc98 pre-release 8 (1999-08-06) features ----------------------------------------- Bugfix: Several small script changes required when compiling with ghc. Bugfix: Initialisation of a value using named fields failed to type-check if some fields were missing. Bugfix: Compiler fault in processing interface-files - sometimes prevented profiling and tracing versions of the prelude/libraries from building unless the old interface files were removed first. Please note also that I will be on holiday for two weeks from now. New bug reports will be dealt with on my return, 23rd August 1999.
