I am a lecturer in the CVPR group. Before joining University of York, I worked at Sheffield Hallam University and Nottingham Trent University as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer from 2013. I have published more than 50 papers in international journals and conferences. Please see my google scholar profile for details.
If you are interested in studying for a PhD under my supervision, I welcome applications from good students interested in computer vision (specifically bio-inspired) or embedded computer vision or the application of machine learning in areas like Internet of Things (IoT). More specifically, I am interested in real-time security surveillance, biologically inspired vision modelling such as deep learning, machine learning in support of assistive care and neuromorphic hardware. I would also welcome visiting exchange students, PhD students, postdocs or academics working in those areas.
