I am a Lecturer in the CVPR group since 2019. Prior to joining the University of York, I have been a postdoctoral researcher at a number of well-known Universities (NTNU, Lougborough University and University of Milan-Bicocca), and a visiting researcher in the Graphics Lab of the USC Institute for Creative Technologies (US), where I began my research in computer graphics.
I am also a Senior Researcher at NTNU, where I lead the Spectraskin project. Since 2017 I am a Guest Researcher at the Department of General Psychology, Giessen University.
For perspective students: are you interested in computer vision, computer graphics or applications of visual perception in computer graphics? I am looking for motivated PhD and Masters Students. Potential projects include facial appearance acquisition and rendering, computational photography for material appearance acquisition, image-based relighting. Please contact me if you are interested. I would also welcome visiting PhD students, postdocs or academics working in those areas.
