Conference Registration Desk: Delegates can collect their
proceedings, conference bag and registration materials
from 08:15 on 27 August in the Ron Cooke Hub.
Reaching the Ron Cooke Hub:
The best way to reach the Ron Cooke Hub on
the Heslington East Campus is to take the 44 UniBus Service,
which stops immediately outside.
This is the penultimate stop on the route (ask the driver if in doubt). You can catch
the bus either a) in the city centre at the Railway Station, Rougier Street or Piccadilly or b) at the main campus of the university underneath the pedestrian bridge near the JB Morrell Library. From the city the return fare is GBP2 (you can buy tickets
from the bus driver, but try to have the correct change ready). From the main university campus the bus is free. Buses leave the railway
station at 07:51, 08:06, 08:22 and 08:37, and the JB Morrell Library at 07:54, 08:09, 08:24, 08:40 and 08:55. You can also walk from the main campus, and this takes about 15-20 minutes.
Best paper prize: A best paper prize of $500 will be awarded at the conference, sponsored by Elsevier Science
Special Edition of Pattern Recognition: Authors of best papers submitted to the conference will be invited to submit extended version of their papers to a Special Edition of the Elsevier journal Pattern Recognition with a deadline of 1st January 2014.
