AMADEUS

Architectures Machines And Devices for Efficient Ubiquitous Systems

The AMADEUS Centre was a £3m+ initiative, supported by the DTI and UK industry, with the aim of developing future hardware and software technologies for ubiquitous and pervasive systems.

The theme of the centre is development of modular technologies such as hardware IP-Cores, for use as building blocks for complete systems.

Dr. Chris Bailey (University of York) holds the directorship of this centre and also coordinates partner workshops and joint projects. Each of the 11 projects in the AMADEUS portfolio was monitored by the centre, and focussed support is given where needed.

A more detailed overview of AMADEUS, its partners, and its projects, can be found at the centre's website.
