Department of Computer Science
YDS 2012 wil be hosted by the Department of Computer Science at the University of York on the Heslington East campus.
Research Student Presentations
The symposium is an opportunity for research students to present early ideas and work-in-progress to their peers, and receive valuable feedback.
Keynote Speakers
In addition to research student presentations, symposium delegates are treated to engaging presentations from prominent academic and industrial keynote speakers.
Poster Session
The poster session provides authors with an opportunity to design and create posters that describe early stage work, and to discuss their research in a more informal setting.
Industrial Sponsor Recruitment Stands
Industrial sponsors may host recruitment stands at the symposium, providing them with an opportunity to interact with research students.
The goal of the symposium is to bring together doctoral students from around the UK and Europe to share and exchange their research and ideas with others. The hope is that by bringing students together from a wide range of areas, we can promote interdisciplinary research, as well as allow doctoral students to gain experience presenting their work to colleagues.
