Software and Systems Modelling
Team
The mission of the Software and System Modelling Team (SOSYM)
is to carry out high-quality, industrially applicable and internationally
known research in the development and application of specification
and modelling languages. It has members from a number of research groups
at York.
Topics of interest to researchers in the team include the following:
-
The design and evolution of new modelling and specification languages
-
Applications of modelling languages to systems development, and to the
construction of new languages
-
Model-Driven Architecture
-
Tools to support specification, modelling, and reasoning about models
-
Integrating modelling and specification languages
-
Development and management processes for modelling languages
-
Domain-specific languages, e.g., for embedded, real-time, or distributed
applications
The team aims to foster collaborative work, both within the Department
at York, and with other members of academia and industry.
