Known Problems with Auburn

All problems that will not vanish with future releases (because the problem is say, compiler specific) are dealt with in more detail and work-arounds given. Compiler-specific problems have been reported to the makers of the compiler concerned. Each version has no known bugs besides those listed, ie. any bugs of previous versions have been fixed unless explicitly mentioned again.

No known bugs. (Sources are written in Haskell 1.3/1.4, which is no longer supported by most compilers.)

Patches are now provided for the problems with HBC 0.9999.4 and GHC 2.08 (see bugs of Auburn 1.0a for details).

HBC 0.9999.4 cannot handle importing classes without methods unless empty parentheses follow the name in the import list. Add () following these names (ShadowClass and ShadowInfoClass) in the import lists of $(SIG)_GDS.hs and $(SIG)_Gen.hs (files generated by Auburn).
GHC 2.08 cannot handle exporting the constructor `:..:'. Rename this constructor to `:++:' for the moment in the following files in the src directory: Auburn_CoreGen.hs and auburn.hs (four occurrences overall).
