Now available as a Masters
You can now take these modules as part of an MSc programme in Large Scale Complex IT Systems
The core modules from our Engineering Doctorate in Large Scale Complex IT Systems (LSCITS) are available to take individually as part of your continued professional development (CPD). These include:
The aim of taking these modules as part of your CPD is to allow you to renew, refresh and extend your understanding within specific fields related to large scale complex IT systems.
Each module is taught over one week at York and is designed and delivered by senior faculty of the Universities of Bristol, St Andrews, Leeds, Oxford and York.
Those who attend can do so on a one-off basis allowing attendees to further develop an understanding in a specific area, or attend multiple modules as part of professional development and education activity. Alternatively, students can attend modules and then choose to register for the Engineering Doctorate degree and the credits awarded from your short course(s) will be transferred to the doctorate programme.
Our short courses are suited to a variety of individuals, looking to renew, refresh and extend their knowledge in the area of large scale complex IT systems and systems of systems. You may be:
Our LSCITS courses have something to offer you at all stages of your career as an engineer.
The main objective of each course is to significantly extend your abilities to address current and forthcoming challenges in the science and engineering of LSCITS. Each individual module provides an individual perspective of the challenges facing large scale complex IT systems today and in the future.
The LSCITS short courses enable you to taylor your learning to suit both your interests and the needs of the industry in which you work.
For 2010/11 the Short Course fee for a module will be £1395.
Fees include all relevant course materials, tuition, examinations, and refreshments and are payable in advance.
