The table below shows what we, the Department of Computer Science, provide for our own undergraduate students studying for degrees in Computer Science and Engineering.
(This table does not include the facilities provided for teaching and research staff in the Department of Computer Science.)
All CSE staff and students, including undergraduates, also have access to the facilities of the University of York IT Services. See also the University's Network Access Service (NAS), to which the Department of Computer Science's own network is connected.
The Department of Computer Science Network runs at the following speeds: 100 Mb/s (wire) from user's computer to switching centre; 10 Gb/s (fibre optic) from switching centre to servers.
